Bilingual Sponsor Services Phone Liaison

Unbound is seeking a bilingual phone liaison for our Sponsor Services department. This position represents Unbound by phone (inbound and outbound), email, mail, and instant messaging. It addresses the concerns and interests of sponsors and donors and nurtures the sponsor experience with Unbound. This position must provide excellent customer service. It serves sponsors and/or donors in both English and Spanish.

Incumbent must have 3+ years of customer service experience, excellent customer service skills and experience with proven results. Incumbent must possess the ability to listen to clients and resolve concerns while maintaining composure and professionalism, excellent organizational skills, and excellent writing skills. The position requires the ability to multitask (talk on the phone and type on the computer at the same time), work on a team and be a team player while working independently, understand and follow through on instructions, type 45 to 50 wpm and have strong computer skills in a Windows environment. Fluency in English and Spanish required as position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.

Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, 3+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred qualifications: College degree preferred.

Facilities Coordinator

This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating general maintenance, repairs, and remodeling of construction projects for property in conjunction with the Service Center Manager.

This position is also responsible for emergency action planning, maintenance of recycling and designated equipment. This position acts as support for the overall Service Center department when required.

Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; One year certificate from a college or technical school preferred or 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The candidate should possess the following:

  • Must have the ability to work with a variety of individuals with a positive and cooperative attitude.
  • Demonstrate mechanical ability and possess construction techniques.
  • Ability to understand and follow through on instructions.
  • Incumbent must have a valid driver’s license with a clear driving record.
  • Possess basic computer skills in a Windows environment: Excel, Word, Access, Outlook.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Professional attitude and work habits.
  • In-depth understanding of and belief in Unbound's mission, values, principles and concepts of sustainable structures in Unbound sponsorship programs.

Marketing and Communications Director

Reporting to the Director of Outreach, the Marketing and Communications Director is responsible for leading the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that supports Unbound’s strategic objectives.

The director creates and manages an integrated marketing practice focused on acquisition and retention, while leading the execution of a consistent message and voice for the Unbound brand. Working to illustrate Unbound’s mission and vision, this person leads the teams that shepherd the organization's voice and visual brand, and has an integral role in the development, implementation and monitoring of a comprehensive marketing and communications plan.

Key to this position is the ability to understand the business needs of the organization and department, as well as interdepartmental processes and activities in order to guide the successful implementation and monitoring of initiatives. Providing leadership and marketing/communications expertise, this individual performs many functions, including developing and motivating staff, project management, process improvement, problem solving, implementation, training and facilitation. The ability to articulate and carry out a vision for authentic, accurate, ethical, compelling and effective storytelling is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Highly skilled leader with at least five years progressively responsible and challenging external and internal communications management experience, including digital marketing expertise and implementation of communications to facilitate organizational growth.
  • Proven success executing campaigns/program plans that are connected to a broader marketing strategy. Experience taking a concept to the go-to-market implementation with a primary focus on digital supported by some print publications.
  • Digital marketing experience with strong expertise in paid search, landing page development, marketing automation (e-mail), demand generation/lead cultivation, closed loop campaign measurement and CPA/LTV/ROI metrics.
  • Energetic, self-starting and creative thinker with proven leadership skills. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work cooperatively and strategically with all levels of professional, technical and administrative staff within a collegial and collaborative environment.
  • Excellent influencing, networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of current communications technology and media, especially web-based communications. Knowledge of website management and use of computer-based technology to extend the reach and impact of strategic communications.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from college or university, preferably in communications, marketing or public relations, and/or minimum of five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in the nonprofit sector.
  • International communications experience with a particular understanding of cultural differences.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
